Shipping within Australia costs $A 6.00.
The $6 charge covers any number of boxes of lenses within Australia.
An express courier is used for house and business addresses. Registered post (slower but more secure) is used for residential unit addresses. Orders generally take 2-5 days to arrive.
Overseas locations costs $A 13.50 for any number of boxes.
We use insured airmail for overseas deliveries. Deliveries generally take 10 days from order to New Zealand and 2 weeks to other countries. Note: from May 2011 single box orders of lower value lenses to NZ may be shipped regular airmail, due to a rise in Australia Post's insurance charges.
Returns
Changes to orders:
Please check the order carefully before submitting, as the order forms a binding contract. If it is changed later there may be a handling charge for postage etc to send the initial order back to the suppliers and for re-shipping the new order.
GST and VAT
Australian GST is not charged on orders sent out from Australia. Australian GST is charged on non-prescription (plano 0.00) coloured lenses delivered to addresses within Australia. Orders to NZ do not attract NZ GST unless the total order value exceeds about $NZ 400. UK VAT charges - the UK Customs website states VAT is payable if the total VAT exceeds £18, our customers report that 2 box orders do not normally attract VAT.
Our Guarantee:
Lenses and other products You get the product exactly as ordered. If we make a mistake, we will send you the correct lenses with a post bag so you can send the incorrect lenses back to either Australia or NZ, whichever is convenient.
Parcel delivery
If your insured parcel is lost in transit before it gets to your address, it is replaced following confirmation by the parcel carrier that it has been lost. This warranty does not cover your parcel going missing following its delivery so please choose a safe address. This warranty is also dependent on the customer filling in the correct address and all options on the shipping page during the checkout process so please read all these options carefully. All insured airmail packages are delivered signature required so a business address is preferred.
Should lenses be requested to be re-shipped due to a delivery delay, they are sent on the understanding that they will be paid for, or returned to NZ or Australia unopened and in saleable condition.
Warranty Information
Your lenses are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Please contact us before disposing of the lens if you think your lenses might be faulty. The manufacturer may require the faulty lens in order to send a replacement. We cannot guarantee you against any prescription changes made by your optometrist or ophthalmologist after your lenses boxes have been opened. We can give a credit for unopened boxes in perfect condition, less than 6 months old, and with good expiry, but some suppliers charge us a restocking fee. Send us an email if you need to do this.
If you order the wrong lenses by mistake or your prescription changes
If you have ordered the wrong lenses by mistake we can give a credit for unopened, unmarked boxes in perfect condition. The lenses must be less than 3 months after purchase and have at least one year before expiration. There is a $5 restocking charge per box to cover the manufacturer restocking fee, and postage charges to cover sending your new lenses back to you and sending the incorrect lenses back to the manufacturer. Thus postage is $AU 18.50 ($13.50 + $5.00) from New Zealand. When sending the lenses back it is important to pack them carefully as we cannot give a credit on boxes which are squashed or damaged in transit.
It may be possible for us to accept lenses over 3 months from your order, but the restocking fee is 50%. It is very difficult for us to return lenses ordered more than 3 months previously and sometimes it is not possible at all.
You must contact us before sending back lenses for exchange or credit. Lenses are not accepted without prior authorisation!
Most lenses can be exchanged this way, and the only ones which cannot are custom made lenses, custom tinted lenses, and lenses specially imported for you. Also for large returns where we have to return your lenses to the manufacturer, we may have to charge you more than $6 for postage to the manufacturer.
